Description

Tuscany is instantly recognisable by its gorgeous rolling hills stretching from the Apuan Alps to the Tyrrhenian Sea. The region is a blend of natural beauty and rich cultural and artistic heritage, and is regarded as the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance. Tuscany’s past has left a legacy that’s embodied in all aspects of life, from grand castles and churches to humble wine cellars and restaurants.

Over two days you will discover Tuscany’s vineyards and vintners from historic Siena. One of Europe’s medieval cities, the town square (Piazza del Campo) and cathedral are perhaps Italy’s most stunning.

Enjoy a full day personal wine tour with an expert wine guide and Tuscan native, who will accompany you in a private chauffeur-driven car. In Bolgheri wine country, birthplace of the 'Super Tuscan' red wines, learn about the approach to winemaking that’s typical to Tuscany at two of the regions boutique wineries; where you will enjoy an extraordinary private wine tasting arranged especially for you.

Lunch is served at fisherman-turned-chef Luciano Zazzeri’s Michelin-starred restaurant, La Pineta. La Pineta is a pilgrimage site for oenophiles and foodies alike due to the exemplary seafood on offer, and the simple beach setting on the sands of the Tuscan Maremma. The catch-of-the-day comes straight from the family's boats and is transformed into dishes such as delicate salt cod ravioli with Bottarga di Muggine

On the second evening, savour a more rustic affair in the quaint village of Villa a Sesta. Dine at Michelin-starred La Bottega del 30. In similar countryside fashion, this charming stone-built restaurant is surrounded by the iconic cypresses and vineyards that typify this region. With room for just eight tables, the restaurant presents a homely feel that extends onto a menu showcasing earthly Tuscan flavours with refined character.
