Description

Established in the 11th century, Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. It remains the official Royal residence of The Queen, who chooses to spend most of her private weekends here. Start this royal affair with a fitting three-course lunch at Heston Blumenthal's Michelin-starred pub The Hind's Head.

This 15th-century pub is nestled in the quaint village of Bray. In 1947, The Hind’s Head played host to Prince Philip’s stag party before his marriage to the Queen. In accord with the history of the building, the menu offers a selection of traditional British cuisine. Acclaimed Chef Heston Blumenthal has kept true to the Tudor Style, re-introducing historic dishes such as Hash of Snails and Oxtail and Kidney Pudding.

Feeling satisfied from lunch, visit Windsor Castle after it is closed to the public. On this exclusive evening tour, see the State Apartments with an expert guide. Each room is embellished with works from the Royal Collection. William the Conqueror’s original wooden Castle was rebuilt by Edward III as the stone fortress with splendid apartments you'll find today. Toast this grandiose experience with a glass of champagne at the end of the tour.
