Description

In the course of his 30-year career, Brown’s chef director Adam Byatt, has gone from a young commis at Claridge’s to one of the most sought-after chefs in London. Long before small plates were even on the culinary agenda, Byatt was creating these little masterpieces at Covent Garden’s Hospital Club. Described as a ‘young star’, Byatt has gone on to win the acclaim of many a guest and critic.

Named after the founding Forte, Lord Charles, Charlie’s is both traditional and contemporary, celebrating the essence of the Forte family. The restaurant showcases the evolution of British cuisine, in honour of the family who dedicated their lives to hospitality for four generations. Celebrating bold British flavours with an elegant European touch, Michelin-starred Byatt has created a menu that is both intriguing and exciting.

Plates such as whole 12oz Dover sole, John Dory baked in seaweed butter, sirloin of beef cooked over coals or rack of Cumbrian lamb decorate the menu, with desserts including Yorkshire rhubarb with crème brûlée and ginger as well as blood orange and brown sugar custard tart. Unique in it’s décor, ambience and cuisine, Charlie’s is a true celebration of the very best of British.
