Bringing the spirit of modern Mexico to Mayfair is acclaimed restaurant Peyote. Named after a small cactus native to the Chihuahuan desert, famous for its hallucinogenic properties, Peyote's interior presents a striking balance between earthy, quirky, and sophisticated. Inserted into one wall you'll even find a Mexican 'Day of the Dead'-inspired display of skulls. The pale-greens and adobe browns give the restaurant an authentic but refined feel.

The menu, created by acclaimed Mexican chef Eduardo García, features classic dishes with contemporary touches. You'll taste familiar small plates of tacos and quesadillas, as well as traditional favourites not easily found outside of Mexico, such as cactus salad and octopus.

Peyote bar showcases an impressively curated selection of premium mezcals and tequilas. This nine-plate tasting menu will be paired with four carefully selected tequilas, including Don Fulano Extra Anejo, made from 100% agave and - with five years in French oak barrels - the oldest tequila produced by the brand.

    The staff and the selection of food and drinks was fantastic!

    We were looked after incredibly well from the initial greeting where they made a fuss of us and made us feel very special through to the serving of each course and the explanation of the different tequilas the dishes were paired with. The food was DELICIOUS!
