Description

Declared a genius by critics, Alain Ducasse is one of the world’s most celebrated chefs. With 18 Michelin stars worldwide, from Paris to Tokyo, Las Vegas to Hong Kong, Alain Ducasse became the first ever chef to hold three Michelin stars at a trio of restaurants at the same time.

But Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester is the jewel in Ducasse's crown; the chef describing London as the "gastronomic capital of the world". The restaurant’s seven course tasting menu is an extraordinary culinary journey through Ducasse’s refined and contemporary French cuisine, interpreted by Executive Chef Jean-Philippe Blondet.

The restaurant consistently champions seasonal produce, much of which is sourced from Britain and France, to craft a menu that is ambitious, creative and flavoursome. To match, the restaurant décor is delicate and ambient and the service professional and faultless, but with an aura of whimsy and pleasure.

To begin the unrivalled London dining experience, guests will enjoy a beautifully presented amuse-bouche, followed by a harmonious symphony of seven-courses of creative, generous and impeccable French cuisine that set the restaurant apart. The enchanting experience culminates with the restaurant’s four bespoke trolleys providing offerings ranging from Mignardises to fresh infusions.

For the ultimate experience, complement the exceptional French cuisine with a selection of 2 wine pairings (“Wine Pairing” & “Wine Experience”) expertly selected by the Head Sommelier to reflect the excellence of French vineyards with 85% of the list originating from France. With one glass each per course, the Wine Pairing is perfect for those celebrating any occasion and the Wine Experience perfect for wine lovers and true oenophiles alike.

Reviews

  • Great time

    Amazing experience.

    Well done everyone

The entire experience was what I would have expected from The Dorchester; warm, friendly, a feeling that one's wellbeing was always at the front of everyone's mind. This was the feeling that I had in the restaurant; attentive, friendly, always looking out for one without being overbearing. Service at table was impeccable. I would like to nominate the waiters at table for an award for "formation serving"!! Well done everyone from top to bottom!!!

  • Top service and wines, food only good

Outstanding service, outstanding wines, food good but for 3 stars I would have liked better quality of the ingredients (for example the venison) with a bit less sauces - not that the food is not good but not top top either which should be expected given cost per head. They should have jackets compulsory for men, table next to ours had guests in shirts w rolled up sleeves.
