Description

One of Britain's leading origami artists, Sam Tsang has been teaching origami professionally since 2003. In this time, he's completed origami commissions for leading luxury brands such as Dior at Selfridges, and has taught workshops for Google, Tate Britain and the Science Museum. Sam was even the main organiser of the Guinness World Record for the largest display of origami elephants; now permanently displayed at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo.

As well as having written pieces on origami for The Guardian, Sam is the author of the popular "Book of Mindful Origami", which aims to promote relaxation, concentration, hand eye co-ordination, and memory through origami; helping readers live a more authentic and calm life.

Sat in the comfort and elegance of The Capital Hotel’s classically British sitting room, enjoy an exclusive group workshop with Sam himself. Your group will indulge in a bottle of Champagne, and learn how to fold a variety of origami models.

Classes are completely customisable to your preferences. Popular themes Sam has taught in the past have included ‘Mindfulness’ (using origami as a relaxation and meditation aid), ‘Collaboration’ (creating a modular origami model as a group) and ‘Educational’ (model making with interesting facts about origami in history, maths, science, fashion and more). Like the theme, there’s no limit to what your group can make, but popular origami models include: a lily, flapping bird, crane, flowers and bouquets, dove, pig, chicken, cat, dog, crow, turtle, and the classic fortune teller.
