  • Discover a whole new world of Scottish delicacies with a private food and drink tour of Edinburgh for two
  • Spend three and a half hours with a qualified historian, taking you around the hidden gems of Morningside and Bruntsfield
  • Visit four over-the-counter eateries, sourcing local Scottish produce
  • Sample various Scottish beverages at a local pub
  • Finish the tour in one of the oldest golfing establishments in the world

Description

Join historian and Scottish food-lover, Karly, on a unique journey through Edinburgh. Full of nooks and crannies, the streets of Morningside and Bruntsfield offer a selection of independent shops, delis and pubs. Having lived in Edinburgh for most of her life, Karly is passionate about bringing the authentic Scottish feel to its visitors.

During your three-and-a-half-hour tour, you will visit four over-the-counter eateries, sourcing local Scottish produce, as well as one drink establishment to sample various Scottish beverages. The tour will finish in one of the oldest golfing pubs in the world for the last food taster.

In each of the eateries you will get the opportunity to sample a taster of a particular dish, learning about the history of each place and the inspiration behind the food. Although tasters are not large enough to be meal replacements, you are guaranteed to be full by the end of tour.

And, of course, no Scottish voyage would be complete without a visit to the pub. On the tour’s final stop, you’ll be invited to sit back, relax and sip on a good old Scottish ale!
