Description

Venture on a gastronomic getaway in Kent and stay at the charming The West House located in a row of 16th century Flemish weaver’s cottages in the quaint village of Biddenden. Patron-chef Graham Garett has worked for both Nico Ladenis and Richard Corrigan and cooked for government and royalty and brings an extraordinary pedigree to Kent.

Bursting with character, the dining room has a welcoming farmhouse-style feel with an open fireplace and stripped floorboards offset with modern touches to create the perfect platform for patron chef Graham Garrett’s confident, fine-tuned cooking. The restaurant's interior exquisitely reflects the menu's blend of rustic charm and sophistication with exposed beams, stylish artwork and a well stocked bar. Graham’s food has gained the restaurant multiple awards including three AA Rosettes.

Graham aims to create a unique culinary experience for diners, listing the ingredients which go to make his meals in fairly basic terms and then asking guests to trust in what the kitchen can produce with them. Fashionable and seasonal ingredients add to the ‘market kitchen’ feel of the place, with interesting combinations of texture and flavour. His high-accomplished reputation is driven by imaginative sourcing resulting in creative, exquisite dishes without being pretentious.

Enjoy a night’s stay in one of the The West House’s four rooms, each designed with its own unique theme to suit different tastes. Guests get a choice of the Serenity Room which is inspired by the natural surroundings and is a calming space to unwind and relax in and boasts a garden and fire pit; or the Rock ’N’ Roll Room, with a four-poster bed and adorned with remarkable big-name rock artworks, as well as its own private garden and hot-tub. Indulge in a late lie in and delight in a bespoke continental breakfast hamper delivered to your door in the morning.

Embark on a luxury gastronomic getaway, full of charm, character and exquisite cuisine. A treat for the senses.
