Hailing from Mumbai, India, Vineet and Rashima Bhatia relocated to England in the early nineties to pursue a dream of owning their own restaurant. After stints at Star of India and Zaika, where Vineet cemented his reputation by winning the restaurant its first Michelin star, their dream materialised in 2004 when Rasoi was born.

Rasoi, housed in the same space as VBL, quickly won the acclaim of London’s taste-makers and a Michelin star soon followed - a testament to both Vineet’s work in the kitchen and Rashima’s as co-director. By 2016, it was time to evolve again: Rashima and Vineet closed Rasoi and readied themselves for the latest chapter in their epic story, Vineet Bhatia London.

Vineet’s dishes fuse flavours from across the regions of India with added twists in the form of European ingredients and plating styles. A sophisticated approach to spicing has become his signature. Having blazed a trail across the culinary world, he is regarded as the ‘Father’ of Modern Progressive Indian food, re-thinking the cuisine and elevating it to an epicurean experience.
