Description

Craft London is more than just a restaurant. Comprising a café on the ground floor, restaurant on the first and a bar offering 360-degree views across North Greenwich, the multi-faceted venue is a state-of-the-art dining and drinking destination located on the newly revitalised and modern Peninsula Square, moments away from the O2.

Before opening in 2015, Chef Patron Stevie Parle was a weekly columnist for The Telegraph and a pioneer of the 'Pop-up' movement, running his roving project 'Moveable Kitchen' which eventually turned into a Tom Dixon collaboration Dock Kitchen in Ladbroke Grove.

Parle worked again with the iconic London designer to devise a tranquil but striking environment at Craft. Decorated in cool blues with metallic accents, the space feels modern and aqueous. Floor to ceiling windows offer an excellent vantage point for gazing over the Thames during the meal.

With experience working in kitchens at Michelin star restaurants such as River Café, and former Michelin star kitchens in Petersham Nurseries, Craft represents the culmination of Parle’s desire to explore seasonal, local British cuisine. The team produces much of what it serves in-house, from the cured meat to the honey for the ice cream and butter for the bread. The downstairs café also roasts its own coffee beans, and everything that isn’t made in-house is bought from British suppliers with whom Parle has had a long standing relationship with.

Over four courses of Chef Parle’s modern British cooking, sample seasonal dishes such as ‘Brill, Salt Baked Turnips, Oyster Cream & Chives’ and ‘Hogget, Chervil Root & Sweetbread’. To finish, enjoy a complimentary hot drink, exclusive to Truly guests - perfect to sip on whilst watching the sun set over The Thames in the summer, or the twinkling lights of London’s Canary Wharf and The O2 in the winter.

Reviews

  • Perfect all-round!

Above and beyond what I expected - welcoming, friendly, and attentive service. The restaurant is clearly really proud of their philosophy on food - each dish was described without fault and in interesting detail. Finished with an inventive cocktail and great views over Canary Wharf. Thoroughly recommend paying a little extra for the cheese course!
