Description

On a quest to take East London back to its roots of being London’s historic home of distilling, East London Liquor Company has certainly done a fine job of doing so. After distilleries in this vibey part of London became dormant for nearly 100 years, this distillery, bar and restaurant has put Bow Wharf back on the map, pleasing craft spirit drinkers throughout London. The independent British distillery has been awarded two medals in the Distillery Masters 2016 competition: a Master for Distillery Innovation and a Gold for Consumer Experience.

Maintaining the rugged charm of its previous function as a glue factory, the beautifully restored brick-walled building is an eclectic marriage of industrial charm and gleaming state of the art machinery. In addition to importing a comprehensive list of top graded spirits, the distillery produces their own award-winning range of premium gin, vodka and rum. Using custom-designed, hand-built Arnold Holstein copper stills, East London Liquor Company produces 100% British Wheat Vodka, a demerara rum from Guyana, and a variety of award-winning London Dry-style gins.
