Why we love it

Situated above the Vintage House whisky exchange on Old Compton Street, the Soho Whisky Club is a haven for the most discerning whisky lovers. Pay homage to the distilleries of the past in a whisky tasting of Scotland’s ‘lost’ distilleries, including a tasting of 27yo Port Ellen; one of the most rare and sought after whiskies.

What's Included?

  • Rare whisky tasting for two people at the Soho Whisky Club
  • Five full measures of whisky from five acclaimed closed distilleries, including the highly coveted Port Ellen 27 year old
  • Paired nibbles, such as dried fruit and chocolate, to share
  • Optional: add a Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill cigar, or similar, for one or two persons with your tasting

  • This experience is unique to TRULY guests

Description

With exclusive access to the independent member’s only Soho Whisky Club, you will taste your way through five of Scotland’s closed or ‘lost’ distilleries with a Soho Whisky Club expert enthusiast.

In the 1800’s, there were more than 200 distilleries in Scotland, but by 1945 the economic and political circumstances of the country saw about 70 of these closing. Today, with a more discerning generation of whisky drinkers seeking a diversity of tastes and flavours, bottles from Scotland’s lost distilleries are highly prized.

The exclusive Soho Whisky Club is the perfect hideaway for those with a keen interest in whisky, and who want to learn more about their favoured spirit. Pass through the unassuming whisky shop on the ground floor, and follow the staircase past the portrait of Shortie of Ardbeg, where you'll be met with varnished wood and piano-led music. The charming decor calls attention to the 600 bottle collection of whisky. Half of the collection are single malt Scotches, with whiskies from America, Japan, Canada, and even Sweden completing.

In this whisky tasting with a difference, you will taste five full measures of whisky, from Scotland’s closed distilleries - including the famed 27yo Port Ellen. This is the perfect experience for a true whisky lover hoping to tick some very rare whiskies off their bucket list.

Alex was very well informed, super nice and friendly. Would love to go back. Also some amazing whiskeys that I've not seen anywhere else.
