Description

Born in 1972 in Ireland, Coleman trained as a chef and pastry chef in Dublin, London and New York before leaving the kitchen. After training with chocolate supremo, Pierre Marcolini in Brussels in the late 1990’s, Gerard Coleman began his quest to create premier chocolate in Britain using the finest ingredients.

Chef Coleman’s success allowed him to upgrade from a 300 sqft room in London to a state-of-the-art 18,000 sqft facility in Ashford Kent. Gerard’s chocolates have gone on to feature on menus in Michelin-starred restaurants such as Restaurant Gordon Ramsey in Chelsea and Heston Blumenthal’s, The Fat Duck, as well as winning multiple awards including Best Producer Award, by the Observer Food Monthly.

In 2009, Gerard opened his Notting Hill boutique and chocolateria, launching decadent creations like artisan chocolate cocktails and ‘Iscreams’. Here, guests can enjoy an evening of private chocolate tasting with one of Artisan du Chocolat’s resident chocolate experts. Over the course of the evening, sample at least 12 luxury, handcrafted chocolates paired with four premium spirits – each spirit complementing the flavour profile of style of chocolate.
