More About The Square
Ever since it was opened in 1991, The Square has been known as one of London's very best restaurants. Opened by Chef-Patron Phil Howard and his business partner, Nigel Platts-Martin, it was just a few years before the restaurant had gained two Michelin stars - the first in '94, the second in '98.
To this day, both stars are retained, with Phil Howard promising "deliciousness for deliciousness's sake". In an industry that moves as quickly as the restaurant scene, maintaining the high standards that The Square has done for so long counts for more than any 'flavour of the month' restaurant.
