Located near Royal Tunbridge Wells, the lakes in the beautiful Weald of Kent are ideal for travelling to from either London, Kent, Hampshire or Sussex. H&B Fly Fishing's personally chosen lakes, Spring Hill Trout Waters and Yew Tree Trout Fishery, provide a wide variety of fishing in beautiful natural surroundings and are undoubtedly some of the best spots for fishing anywhere near London.
Upon arrival you'll meet with Secretary of the Association of Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors (AAPGAI), Bob Sherwood. Bob is a master of his craft. Having undergone the most rigorous and demanding qualification in the fly fishing world, Bob became the first person to qualify as an advanced instructor under APPGAI regulations, the only instructor qualification that guarantees the highest standards. Bob has been teaching anglers of all levels, from novice to instructor, for many years as well as giving demonstrations and talks on his passion all over the world, ensuring you'll be in the best possible hands, whether you be starting out or looking to hone your skills.
Those testing the water for the first time will enjoy a day of learning the basic roll and overhead casts, tackle set-up, fly recognition. Bob will make sure you are equipped with all the skills needed to start casting freely for the future.
For more avid angler, Bob will be able to determine your level and help you advance, whether you need help casting further, mastering the double haul, handling unfamiliar outfits, dealing with tricky winds or just ironing out any faults. With Bob's expert knowledge, you'll progress in much quicker fashion. Advanced fly fisherman will still benefit. You'll learn to masterfully execute difficult techniques such as Spey casts, snake roll and snap-T or specialist casts.

This experience is valid for redemption within 6 months from the date of issue.
Halstead & Bolton hold lessons Monday to Friday. Start times are flexible; fisheries open from 8am until one hour after sunset. The lesson will last for approximately 4 hours.
Please note that participants must arrange for their own fishing license for the day which can be purchased here.
Food and drink are not included with the experience. Any additional products or services purchased can simply be paid for on site.
All fishing equipment is provided, but it is recommended you bring sturdy shoes, boots/wellies, rain jacket, sunglasses and a hat.
In the case of poor weather conditions, lessons can be re-arranged for a new date.
All bookings are subject to availability. We advise booking at least three weeks in advance to guarantee the desired date and time.
