Today, the Canadian Opera Company continues to support and advance Canadian artists, whilst also attracting world-renowned talent. Indicative of this was the appearance of well-known soprano Patricia Racette for the COC's October 2014 production of Madama Butterfly. This follows her appearance in the role for The Metropolitan Opera's Live in HD series, which was broadcast in theatres across the globe.

The Canadian Opera Company's productions have consistently struck the right balance between innovation and tradition, with groundbreaking adaptations opening to critical acclaim and classic shows from its repertoire also lauded. Shows frequently achieve great praise; with The Globe and Mail describing the COC's performance of Peter Grimes as a "powerful, magnificent tragedy".

Ahead of the performance, enjoy a three-course meal at one of the most exciting restaurants in the city. Nota Bene offers local, seasonal ingredients in inventive and perfectly executed meals. Lee's modern take on the Continental menu has made it the go-to place for well-heeled diners in the city. After delighting in the sumptuous three-course dinner, you will make the short walk to the home of the Canadian Opera Company, for a glorious performance.

Housed in the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, a theatre built specifically for opera and ballet, performances are consistently memorable showpieces. Reviews

  • Great package, great idea.

First off the restaurant. Food was tasty, fresh and creative. Service was very good and my server was excellent. The hostess was very welcoming and asked how everything was, when we were leaving (and it was packed / busy).
Now to the opera. The Canadian Opera Companyt at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts is a jewel on the Canadian arts scene.
Their new venue is nothing short of spectacular! I have sat in many different places for opera, ballets and musicals and have never been disappointed with the accoustics, singing or music.
Wonderful modern architecture complements the area. Located right above a subway stop, you would never know it.
I have to say I was so impressed with this evening and the service from truly who were so courteous and professional. They went above and beyond to provide a luxury night.
    Go! You won't be disappointed!

    Amazing opera experience

I have been going to see opera for many years and I was not disappointed by this night. We had an exceptional evening and a fantastic time with friends. The food was really scrummy first of all. You can rest assured. Complete satisfaction is guaranteed. Quite astonished to listen to this opera, as it was just amazing. The sound quality and the architecture were good too, without which the entire show would not have been so good. On that night we went, we also enjoyed the beautiful orchestra by COC. Overall, very good.
