Description

The English translation of Omakase is, ‘I trust you’. At Kasa Moto, put your trust in ex-Momofuku Executive Chef Michael Parubocki and Sushi Chef Tsuyoshi Yoshinaga, formerly of Yasu and Sushi Kaji. The dynamic duo create a 'Chef’s Omasaka’, just for you.

Kasa Moto is a vibrant and sociable Japanese restaurant in Toronto’s Yorkville district. In similar fashion to well respected sister restaurants The Chase and The Chase Fish & Oyster, Kasa Moto is an upscale, seafood-centric dining experience.

Kasa Moto does a fine job encompassing a rare Japanese aesthetic. The contemporary decor features warm wood finishes, lush topiary and walls adorned with hand-painted koi.

That aesthetic is carried over to the plate. The eight-course Chef’s Omakase tasting menu is mindful of Japanese tradition and definite in execution. The traditional yet innovative, intricate and delicate menu features premium quality, responsibly-sourced seafood. Expect classics like sumptuous Hamachi sashimi, sweet Maki and delicate Nigiri presented alongside more daring cooked dishes, Robatayaki and seasonal vegetable pairings.

Fresh ingredients and house-prepared components are at the forefront of Kasa Moto’s ethos. Dependent on the season, cooked dishes can consist of Wagyu beef or succulent pork belly, while artisanal house-made soy sauce is fermented for six months, creating an excellent and authentic flavor.
