Description

Cliff camping in Colorado is a unique, adrenaline-fuelled adventure, and the most stunning way to see the Rockies. Whether a novice or seasoned climbing veteran, Kent Mountain Adventure Club's mission is to ‘provide personal growth through adventure’.

KMAC is a member of the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA), and has been offering rock climbing instruction since 1987. Accomplishments of KMAC guides include; a certified wilderness medicine guide, the first Americans to scale the North Face of Europe’s Eiger, and an avalanche instructor.

Learn climbing basics; knots, harnesses, how to ascend a rope, rappelling and more. Your morning introduction will last until lunch, when you’ll take a break before heading over to the cliff camping site. Once at the cliff, you and your guide will set up the cliff camp, utilizing the portaledge. You'll have the freedom to choose either a climb or rope ascent to reach your cliff camp, resting at 160ft above the valley floor. High above terra firma, you’ll snuggle into your portaledge, relax with tea and marvel at stunning beauty below, with a full 180 degree panorama. If time permits, you’re welcome to try your hand at rock climbing below the cliff camp on various routes.

Enjoy a camper's dinner cooked by your guides before settling in for an evening of serene stargazing. After a night’s rest, you’ll eat a proper climber’s breakfast, rappel back down the cliff side and tell tales of your extreme adventure with friends and family.
