Description

For a getaway right on the doorstep of Britain, it doesn't come any better than taking a short Dublin break, and from the luxury surrounds of a 5-star hotel in central Dublin, you can enjoy all the city has to offer.

Stood on the site of two old Georgian coach houses, L'Ecrivain is Dublin's premier fine dining restaurant, run by Irish celebrity chef Derry Clarke.

With recognition across Ireland and beyond, from the likes of The Irish Times and The Sunday Times, L'Ecrivain has held a prestigious Michelin star for almost 10 years. The eight-course tasting menu puts a contemporary spin on traditional Irish cuisine, with the type of French technique that has become synonymous with fine cuisine.

If you're like most, the other thing you will want to sample in Ireland is a pint of "the black stuff". Enjoy a private Guinness tour and sample one of the most famous beers on the planet at the Guinness Storehouse, featuring seven-floors dedicated to the "black custard".

On your way to the top floor, take a self-guided tour of the numerous exhibits, which explore every aspect of Guinness' fascinating history. You'll find out about the brewing process, the infamous adverts, and how to pour the perfect pint.

When you reach the top floor, take in the incredible 360-degree panoramic views at 'Gravity Bar'. Here you can sip on a pint of freshly poured pint of complimentary Guinness and admire the views over the city in which is was created.

Sample Dishes

  • Foie gras terrine, glazed cherries, cherry gel and brioche
  • Beef fillet, braised ox cheek, shredded tongue, marrow bread crumb and smoked garlic
  • Opera chocolate & blood orange mousse, parfait, marmalade, vanilla foam and almond bourbon
