Biking Down Death Road in Bolivia

The famous Nor Yungas in Bolivia is considered the most dangerous road in the world – a 3,600 m track down the steep and rocky slope of the towering peak La Cumbre. This infamous narrow dirt road is cut into the side of a mountain and it descends at a rapid rate, sending riders hurtling down the rough terrain. On one side you will have a sheer drop and on the other side you will have enormous rock overhangs and cascading waterfalls as you speed down the mountain. It’s a thrilling ride that will have you hanging on with white knuckles all the way down.

Volcano Boarding in Nicaragua

Cerro Negro is a live volcano that has become a hotspot for extreme boarding and many people come to this destination in Nicaragua to slide down the slope. It is possible to reach speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour as you course down the enormous volcano on a tiny board. This exciting activity was ranked #2 on the Thrill Seeker’s Bucket List of 50 Things to Try before You Die on CNN.

Extreme Experiences

Bungee Jumping in New Zealand

New Zealand is famous for being the place of origin for the sport of bungee jumping and when you leap from the platform at Nevis Bungy you will experience 8.5 seconds of free fall – the longest 8.5 seconds of your life! Not only is the bungy a fantastic thrill, but it’s also located in truly gorgeous surroundings.

CN Tower Edge Walk in Canada

Toronto’s CN Tower is a prominent landmark that offers amazing panoramic views over the downtown. If you want to go beyond simply dining in the café and admiring the view, you could dangle from the roof of the tower’s restaurant on the Edge Walk experience. You will be strapped into a harness 356 metres above the ground, attached to an overhead safety rail. If you can handle the extreme height, it’s a pretty amazing experience.

Diving with Great White Sharks in South Africa

At Simon’s Town Harbour on the Cape Peninsula in South Africa you can take a tour that allows you to interact with great white sharks. Imagine being underwater in a cage and watching these terrifying beasts circling around you, so close that you can count their razor sharp teeth!

These are just a few of the most thrilling extreme experiences that you can enjoy all around the world when you want an adrenaline rush. Why not book an exciting adventure for your next getaway?
