Campovida is founded by Gary and Anna, and their dreamy vineyard and farm are located in Hopland. In 2019, The Press named this winery one of the top 52 wineries in California. Campovida wines are featured at the Stock Farm which is suited to downtown Hopland. Wine tastings are offered at their sister property, Stock Farm. The wine tasting is a self-guided 45-60 minutes experience and includes four of Campovida wines. Private guided tastings are also available upon request.

Brooklyn West Winery is an urban winery located in Jack London Square and was founded by Steve Epstein and Jeffrey Fiegel who are also the winemakers. The name, Brooklyn West, refers to their roots which go back to Brooklyn. The winery has indoor and outdoor seating areas and they offer four wine tastings. The winery staff are friendly and more than happy to guide customers through the wine tastings and answer questions regarding food and wine pairings.

3. Urban Legend Cellars

Urban Legend was founded by Steve and Marilee Shaffer in 2008. They began commercial winemaking with the harvest of 2008 at one of their friend’s wineries in Healdsburg. Urban Legend is a small boutique winery that specializes in food-friendly wines from the best of California grapes. They have wine tastings available with indoor seating in their sophisticated glass-fronted tasting room and outdoor tables under their pavilion with panoramic views of the bay and city.

4. Dashe Cellar

Michael and Anne Dashe create wines that capture the character and complexity of top vineyards throughout Sonoma County and beyond. Dashe Cellers crafted its first-ever vintage of Dry Creek Zinfandel in 1996. Since that, the Dashes have been focusing on producing exceptional, single-vineyard wines using traditional and non-industrial methods of winemaking. Dashe Cellar offers wine tastings of five selected wines in their urban tasting room located in a historic aeroplane hangar on Alameda Point.

5. Rosenblum Cellars

Rosenblum Cellars opened in 1978 in Alameda, California. They have since become one of the highly rated and most-awarded California Zinfandel portfolios. Rosenblum has a tasting room and a wine food menu inclusive of cheeses, bread and crackers, charcuterie, and salads.

Cote West refers to a hillside, border, seashore, or one of those rare slopes found in regions that are home to one of the best vineyards. Kerrie and Bret are the founders, and Bret is also the winemaker. Coste West has a tasting room that’s located on site at Oakland winery. Indoor and outdoor tasting accommodation are available; however, outdoor seating is weather permitting.

7. Twomile Wines

Tom Knight and Adam Love are the owners and winemakers of Twomile Winery which was established in 2006. Their wines are made in Oakland, with grapes from Sonoma, Central Coast and Napa. Twomile is also a tasting bar that shares its space and menu with a fellow winery, Tintype and Subject to Change Co, and Oakland Spirits Company.

Chris Brockway is the owner and winemaker of Broc Cellars. Their eclectic mix of grapes are sourced from all over California, working with vineyards as far north as Mendocino and as far south as Pas Robles. Wine tastings are guided, and snacks are provided by a collaboration between Broc Cellars and 2 other businesses, Cult Crackers and Standard Fare.

9. Prima Materia Wine

Prima Materia craft unique wines from special grapes inspired by the great wineries of Italy. They pride themselves on trying to work with interesting varieties that many people may not have tried before. The range from the light and bright Dolcetto, Sangiovodde, to more structed reds such as Aglianico, Sagrantino and Nebbiolo. Wine tastings are available and are held outdoors only in the Temescal Alleys of North Oakland. Guests have the privilege of choosing to taste any six wines available.

Jason and Emily Charles are the owners of Vincar Minor and their slogan soil, grape, and sun encapsulates their love for making natural wines. Food trucks are also accessible, Fridays being Dos Raicez’s food truck serving Baja style tacos, and Saturdays is MishMish serving vegan Palestinian food.
