DiverXO
DiverXO is the only three-Michelin Star restaurant Madrid has to offer. The restaurant defines its cuisine as ‘fun, surprising and very flavoursome’, which almost every patron can agree is very accurate. This eatery was awarded its third star in 2013 and has managed to maintain it ever since. This star also marked the first time a restaurant in the city had been awarded more than two stars in the two decades prior to it.
The Head Chef at DiverXO is David Munoz. He has made the decision to serve only two degustation menus, each of which is composed of a whopping eight fixed dishes, with an additional 10 dishes that vary depending on the availability of seasonal ingredients. This gives each diner the opportunity to enjoy a wide array of flavours created with the freshest possible ingredients, while at the same time, discovering Chef Munoz’s excellent cuisine.

La Terraza del Casino
La Terraza del Casino has two stars and has certainly earned its spot among the Michelin Star restaurants in Madrid. Ferran Adria, one of Spain’s most renowned chefs, works as a consultant for La Terraza del Casino. This restaurant is well known for having innovative, yet somehow also traditional flavours.
The tapas menu at this eatery is as creative as one can imagine. It features delights that will undoubtedly be a treat to the tastebuds, making it no wonder that this restaurant has earned so much praise in the culinary world. Santceloni is a wonderful addition to this list of Madrid Michelin restaurants. With two stars, the second of which was earned in 2005, this eatery is barrelling towards a third. Located in the newly renovated Hotel Hesperia, this establishment is well known for its ambitious cuisine and its perfectionist nature.
Diners can expect to indulge in reinterpretations of classic Spanish dishes that have been carefully crafted using only the freshest ingredients of the highest quality. Santceloni’s chef serves up a wide variety of regional foods but has also made a point of serving seasonal dishes too, so as to guarantee the prime quality of ingredients used. Just a head’s up if you’re planning on dining at Santceloni: diners are required to dress in formal attire.

Sergi Arola

Run by a Catalan chef, Sergi Arola not only has incredible dishes to choose from, but it also has an impressive menu of homemade breads, as well as an original cocktail menu designed to complement any meal. On top of this is an extensive wine list.
If you’re looking for gourmet tapas, you’ll also be welcomed at SOT, which is located in Sergi Arola’s basement. SOT is a smaller restaurant but is run by the same chef and is up to the same standard as the main establishment. Any experience at Sergi Arola is well worth the wait, and diners will leave feeling over the moon with their Michelin Star experience.

Ramon Freixa is unquestionably one of the most exclusive restaurants in Madrid. Its dishes are able to brilliantly balance innovation, sophistication and tradition. Together, these three factors produce a combination that is nothing short of magical. The result? Two well-earned Michelin Stars.
Located in Barrio Salamanca, which just happens to be one of the most affluent neighbourhoods of Madrid, the restaurant is housed in Hotel Unico, which in itself is a beautiful establishment. Ramon Freixa offers diners its signature tasting menu filled with delights, which patrons will be able to enjoy while overlooking the hotel’s perfectly manicured garden. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and its interior is perhaps one of the most luxurious in all of Madrid.

El Club Allard

With its two Michelin Stars, El Club Allard boasts three different menus, namely ‘Seduction’. ‘Encounter’ and ‘Revolution’. Each menu consists of a combination of snacks, starters, fish, meat and desserts.
This restaurant is located in Madrid’s central district of Arguelles, and up until fairly recently, was an exclusive, members-only establishment. These days, it is open to the public and run by Maria Marte. She prides herself on basing all of her recipes on the principle that a mixture of quality and simplicity makes for an excellent mix of flavours and textures – and she is absolutely right! El Club Allard has been able to hold on to both of its Michelin Stars, even after the restaurant’s original chef left.
