Compared to other restaurants on this Michelin Star restaurants in Amsterdam list, Daalder certainly had very humble beginnings. It started off with a very informal dining atmosphere and then just six months after being awarded its first Michelin Star, had a major upgrade. Moving from a Jordaan cafe into a much larger location at the monumental Het Sieraad Building, the restaurant then became adorned with street art, neon lights, and graphics. In short, it has a very ‘cool’ atmosphere.

Under the helm of its Head Chef and owner Dennis Huwae, Daalder gives diners an unforgettable experience of creative cuisine heavily influenced by international dining trends. When visiting Daalder, you can choose from a four or five-course chef’s menu for lunch, or a six, eight, or 10-course meal for dinner. A la carte options are also available.

This restaurant offers delectable Meditteranean cuisine and boasts a marble bar for pre-and post-dinner drinks. The bar is decorated in a way that will remind most diners of the bygone era of the Roaring Twenties.

The Duchess is a very opulent environment, and diners will be hard-pressed to find anything else like it. All the food is prepared with only the highest quality ingredients and is then served in a perfect candlelit environment.
