Gin Flight at The Harcourt, Review by Sweet Monday

At the weekend Stew and I headed across London to Marylebone to enjoy a gin tasting flight at The Harcourt restaurant and bar. Booked through Truly Experiences, the afternoon consisted of tasting three different gins, paired with three Nordic dishes, all washed down with a delicious gin and raspberry cocktail!

The gin tasting that we attended included three 25ml measures of gin, paired with Scandinavian cuisines such as gravadlax, with a house gin cocktail. The gin’s we tried included a wonderful Scottish gin with a sprig of rosemary, a Japanese gin paired with juniper berries, and finally a Sipsmith sloe gin.

This was the first time I’d tried a sloe gin, and it was beautifully sweet. Very easy to drink and deliciously paired with cheese and chutney. This was my favourite of the afternoon and finished the experience off perfectly.

The Harcourt is located near Baker Street and Edgware Road stations, and is a very cute spot, down an idyllic Marylebone street. The restaurant itself is spacious, light and airy with a mix of British and Scandinavian decor.

Both the gins we sampled, the cocktail and the food were all expertly prepared and of fantastic quality. Our waiter explained each dish thoroughly and gave us a little background of each gin brand, making it not only a special day out, but also an educational one. Both Stew and I love our gin, and we found the whole experience very interesting.

Priced at £70 for 2 people, the gin tasting flight with Nordic food pairing for two by Truly Experiences, would make the ideal gift for a friend or loved one, and a fantastic day out in the city.
